Improving Students' Creative Thinking Skills by Applying Project-Based Learning in Mathematics Education

This study aims to explore the impact of implementing Project Based Learning (PBL) in improving students' creative thinking skills in mathematics learning in senior high schools. The research method used is a pre-test post-test control group experimental research design, involving two groups of students: an experimental group that implements PBL and a control group that receives mathematics learning using conventional methods. The research instruments used were creative thinking ability tests, observations, and interviews. The results showed that students involved in mathematics learning with PJBL experienced a significant increase in their creative thinking abilities compared to students who followed conventional learning. In addition, interviews with students and teachers also showed that PJBL provided a more interesting and relevant learning experience for students and enabled the effective development of creative thinking skills. These findings provide strong support for the use of PJBL as an effective learning strategy in improving students' creative thinking sksills in mathematics learning in a school environment.
