Abstract

This study aims to identify the obstacles faced by students in learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach, conducted at SMA 5 Kota Palembang involving 26 students as participants. This study used a questionnaire as a data collection tool, which was distributed to students online via WhatsApp using Google Forms. The results of the study show that the main obstacles faced by students are related to the availability of facilities and inadequate internet connections. Some students did not have adequate access to support online learning, coupled with poor internet network quality, which hampered their participation in online learning that required a stable internet connection. In addition, in facing online learning, more creativity was needed from teachers to prevent boredom and lack of motivation among students. Another obstacle was the limited communication between students and teachers, which resulted in difficulties in understanding the learning material.
